What is E911?

E911 (Enhanced 911) is the emergency telephone system in the United States that automatically provides emergency dispatchers with your callback number and registered address when you dial 911.

VoxioTalk Uses VoIP Technology

VoxioTalk provides phone service using Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology. This means your calls travel over the internet rather than traditional phone lines. While this enables our simple, affordable service, it also means E911 emergency services work differently than with traditional landline phones.

Critical Limitations You Must Understand

  4. Maintain alternative emergency contact methods such as a mobile phone
  5. Verbally provide your address and callback number if you call 911
  6. Not rely solely on the Voxio Phone for emergency communication
